And just like the your mother’s hand-knit Christmas gift will always remind you of her, so does Malbec recall its’ origins – the legendary Bordeaux vineyard. Today, Malbec is found virtually everywhere, with the California versions showing a typically muscular profile, with a focus on red fruit and terroir-driven savory notes.
Our California Malbec suggests an aroma that is unmistakable and simply riveting – ripe red plums, berries, chocolate and tocacco. Vivid and well-defined, these flavors are reflected on the palate, where the wine is full-bodied and broad-shouldered. Xmas Sweater flexes its muscles on the finish, and begs for a juicy steak!

Malbec has travelled a long, winding road from it’s ancestral home in France, across continents and hemispheres. California is one of the friendliest wine regions on Earth, with locals that are always ready to welcome visitors to their corner of the Golden State, with the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop. And, just like the people that made it, this California Malbec is accessible, open, and very easy to like.
VARIETAL COMPOSITION: 100% Malbec
WINEMAKING PROCESS: Xmas Sweater Malbec was harvested at night, and after a process of rigorous sorting, allowed to ferment at cool temperatures until deemed ready to be racked and aged. A strict tasting protocol was used to taste the individual lots to select the final blend, and Xmas Sweater was bottled in its own state-of-the-art facility.
