This Washington white blend features a classic, understated character that is evocative of the great white wine growing regions of France. Despite the lack of proximity, wines from these disparate locations can share a certain similarity – a blend of fruity and savory elements, racy mouthfeel, and vibrant acidity. Portfolio blends two classic Old World grape varieties, reinterpreted in one of the New World’s up and coming viticultural hot spots.
This iconoclastic blend of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc opens with aromas of white peach, tangerine and orange blossom. The flavor intensity on the palate is remarkable, with exotic notes of mango and melon rounding out the finish. Despite being the source for some of the most exciting white wines being produced in the new world today, the Columbia Valley is still virtually unknown. This dramatic, steep, rocky region is one of the most dramatic landscapes in the entire world of wine.
Portfolio's Columbia Valley vineyards are blessed with an incredible southwestern exposure within view of the Columbia River. Benefiting from prolonged sun exposure and consistently long, even growing seasons allows Portfolio to ripen fully and evenly, leading to a wine graced with a rich mid-palate, caressing mouthfeel and voluptuous fruit.

WINEMAKING PROCESS: The goal of Portfolio is to express itself as a consistently fresh, full and lush wine. To this end, we adopt the strictest and most modern winemaking protocols – careful selection in the vineyards, temperature controlled fermentation and careful élevage, resulting in increased volume and depth. The result of this careful attention in the cellar is an extremely aromatic wine with a strong emphasis on fruit purity.
