2018 CABERNET SAUVIGNON

COLUMBIA VALLEY, WASHINGTON

Born Wild Cabernet is textbook Washington Terroir, sourced from two of the state’s most celebrated winegrowing regions.  The sparse, sandy geology of Eastern Washington state forces the Cabernet Sauvignon roots to penetrate deep into the soil to look for water, and this struggle is reflected in the wine’s electric, vivid fruit character and soft tannins. This is extreme Terroir, where the grapes are Born Wild and the wines Drink Wild.

WINE PROFILE

True to its Washington state origins, Born Wild Cabernet displays a sweet, red fruit character that hints at bing cherries, dark plums, marionberries, and blackberries.  Born Wild has a dark red color and soft tannins.  It is balanced and great with steak.

WINEMAKING PROCESS: The tiny berries produced by these hard-working Cabernet vines contain an extremely high ratio of skin to juice making a skilled winemaking hand critical in order to manage successful extraction. The Born Wild team has worked with Washington fruit for decades, and the result is a wine of true breed and distinction.
